The Student Committee has put together 3 social events to help connect you with industry panelists, network with peers through trivia, and test your creativity skills in an exciting educational challenge. 

Day 1: ImKNOW: Connect with Industry Panelists 

Are you interested in applying your research skills in industry? The ImNO Student Committee has recruited industry panelists to speak about their experience and journey to industry. It will be on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 from 4:35 to 6:35 pm in GatherTown Panel Room.  If you intend to participate, please fill out the registration form and, if you have any specific questions, enter them in the form!

We have speakers lined up from a variety of industries including a few ImNO alumni!

Day 2: ImNO Trivia

Are you interested in challenging your brain with fun facts? The ImNO Student Committee has compiled an exciting action-packed list of questions! Grab some snacks and join us on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 from 4:25 to 6:25 pm in the GatherTown Trivia Room. 

Prizes will be awarded to winners!

Day 3: Educational Outreach Challenge - REGISTRATION REQUIRED

The ImNO 2022 Symposium will feature a competition in which groups of 2-3 conference participants explain a scientific topic (e.g., how X-ray machines work) in an engaging and understandable way to children in grades 4 to 8 with a 1-3 minute presentation.  Following the presentation, presenters will also answer questions from the 4th students.

The presentations will be judged by the 8th grade students, session chairs, and symposium participants. 

The best presentations will win prizes that will be awarded during the closing session.

Interested in participating? Register as a team or as an individual.  Individual registrants will be assigned to teams and will receive an email with the names of the their team mates a few days before the symposium. An orientation session will be held on March 22 at 12:15pm in which teams will receive their scientific topic assignment. The competition will take place on the last day of the symposium  March 24  at 12:20 pm. Enrollment is limited, so register soon using the form at this link.
